AI Search and Death of the Click: Is the Open Web in Danger?
For more than two decades, the internet worked on a simple bargain. Websites created content, search engines indexed it, and users clicked on links to reach the original source. That click was not just a technical action; it was the economic lifeline of the open web. Every click meant visibility. Visibility brought traffic.
